Quick and simple to attach, this additional front roller gives you the freedom to weave longer lengths of fabric and the freedom to weave with thick weft yarns, all the while keeping the optimum sheds.

Weave double width projects with ease, weave rag or rya knot rugs longer and thicker, weave with super yarns, and weave multiple projects without cutting and re-leashing the warp.

Kit includes Freedom Roller with clicker pawl, warp stick and warp stick ties.

When using your Freedom Roller, there is no need to cut off the warpstick on your original roller. Simply turn the original roller so the warpstick and ties are down, out of the way of your warp going on the freedom roller.

Leave the knobs on your loom and you can quickly switch between using the loom with or without the Freedom Roller.

The Freedom roller can be used with the new style Rigid Heddle Stand Variable, attached at the rear of the loom or alternatively it can be used on the front with the loom on a table. It can not be used on the older style width floor stand.

The Freedom rollers are only compatible with the standard Rigid Heddle Looms, they do not fit SampleIt Looms or Knitters Looms.

Made from strong, durable nylon with Silver Beech rails.

Rigid Heddle reeds come in 16, 24, 32 and 48 inch widths. Knitter's Loom in 12, 20, or 28 inch.

48” Reed are oversize for shipping. Due to costs to ship this length we will air ship direct from Ashford in New Zealand to you. If you order two or more reeds in this length and charged more than $40 on shipping we will refund the difference. This item is excluded from Free Shipping unless ordered with a new 48” loom.

Ashford has two different Rigid Heddle Looms. The standard rigid heddle loom which does not fold. And The Knitter's Loom which folds.

RIGID HEDDLE DOUBLE HEDDLE KIT Add a Second Heddle For multi heddle weaving. Kit includes two support blocks that are easy to attach as your rigid heddle has pre-drilled holes. Instructions for weaving with the two heddles and patterns are included.
Buy another reed (identical to the one you have) and you will double your ends per inch. For example two 12.5dpi (50/10) reeds will give you an amazing 25 ends per inch (100/10)!

EXTRA HEDDLES Reeds are available for differing yarns. 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5 or 15 dpi.

DPI: Dents per inch or number of warps per inch.
2.5 or 5 dent use with Thick, lumpy yarns.
7.5 dent use with thick or fuzzy yarns, brushed mohair and worsted weight yarns.
10 dent, use for medium weight yarns, like sport or DK.
12.5 or 15 dent, use for thin warp yarns, fine work. Lace yarn or fine cotton.
