Wool Fat Quarter Bundle - Basic Flannel
B. Black & Sons - Made in U.S.A. 100% Fine virgin wool flannel. Use for Garments, Wool Applique’, embellishment and quilting as well as rug hooking.
Eight different Fat quarters. Each piece measures approx. 18” x 30”.
Fabric has not been washed (felted or fulled)
Basic Solid Flannel: 1 piece each: Black, Natural White, Red, Dark Red, Purple, Brown, Dark Charcoal Gray, Light Gray

Imagine without ribbon is the “actual” fabric before and after felting.
To felt: Hot Machine Wash (adding a pair jeans helps with agitation on front loaders) then Machine Dry. Remove from dryer before completely dry and steam press. If the wool fabric hasn’t felted enough to your liking, repeat process.
Tweed is a unfinished woolen fabric, of a soft, open, flexible texture resembling cheviot or homespun, but more closely woven. It is made in either plain or twill weave and may have a check or herringbone pattern. Subdued, interesting color effects (heather mixtures) are obtained by twisting together differently colored woolen strands into a two- or three-ply yarn.

Fat Eight measurement is approximate.
Before Felting Fat Quarter measures 30” x 18”. After felting each colors felts differently. Example: White felted the least to 29” x 16.5. Red felted the most to 25.5” x 16”
A Fat Eight in Red will measure 12.5” x 16” and white will measure 14.5” x 16.5”
If you purchase 2 of the same color will send uncut.

Felting Process; Machine wash hot water, cold rinse. Machine dry.
Please Note: This fabric is not 100% without flaws or imperfections. There are some uneven woven spots or an occasional nep. Becomes less noticeable once hand dyed or fulled. Measurements are approx.
